The drydock was estimated to have a 1mgth of '75 meters, beam of 30 meters, and a height above the waterline of 10 meters. See the following sketch: 3m 3m 30 m 10 in 2m V 2. The dock was empty, but inside lay two anchors, and concrete blocks with attached chains. Destination of the drydock was reported to be Murmansk. The speed was about five knots. Work was in progress on both moles which were apparently being considerably heightened. The 75-ton floating crane was in attendance at the Western end of the North Mole for this purpose. 50X1-HUM 7. A new wall is under construction opposite the fishing harbour on the northern side of the river and further to the eastward on the same side of the river work is in progress which appears to be either extending the Export Quay or linking it with the Import Quay. Ten five ton cranes and two twenty ton cranes-mere counted at the Import Quay and twelve. five ton cranes on the Export Quay. 8. Three large earth mounds were visible to the North of the harbour in line with the North Mole as shown on the overlay plan. 9. At the root of the South Mole a Radar Station appeared to be in the process of dismantling. 10. Searchlight batteries were situated as shown on the overlay plan and informant stated that there isa large concentration of searchlights both coastal and inland to the North and South of the port.
