Introduction.
1. The East German Microwave Working (}coup (Arbeitsgruppe Riehtfunk
originated a pro3ect on microwave filters.

annual budget. The research work was carried out by Diple Ing. Loele of the
institute from approximately the beginning to the middle of -1959. 25X1

find a less complicated filter type which would do the came work as available
types in the microwave field; it tlais represents a natural but i~oportant ad-
vance irk filter design. this type of filter would Find Indus- 25X1

the Rafena Plant (VEB Aafanawerk) in Radaberg, and the Radio Machaniaa Plant

tion would take.
~. The report treats thaorstically the deriaation of multi-aeetion filters using
both stepped inner oonductor diameters and dieleotric beads on a uniform
i conductor. The theory was reduoed to praotlee with the construction of
a band pass filter using three dielectric bead sections with matching aectiona
using the stepped inner conductor principle.
