6. Following is a description of points on Sketch 'To. 2,
ketch of Area C :
.Jell and fence - about two meters high. Some narts were
of wood and others of brick. Al]. sides of the niant area
wore surrounded by the wall except the portion that faced
the railroad tracks.
Point o. 2: entrance to the plant area - the left side was used by
pedestrians and the right side by motor vehicles. There
was always one # uard checking the passes of the employees.
Vehicle entrance doors were kept closed and were opened
only when a vehicle was ready to enter or leave.
Point "o. 3: :rater storage cistern - circular, about eight "eters in
diameter and six to seven meters deep, or brick and con-
crete construction. This water was to be used only in
case of fire.
Point 7"o. 1: rain plant - brick, one story, about 50 maters by 30 meters
by five meters high with wooden gable roof. There were four
windows, about four meters high 1,70 meters de, on
each side of the building. about 150 50X1-HUM
people were employed in this bui1dingi some in the pattern
shop, some in the toy manufacturing shop and the others making
wooden boxes.
Point '!ae 5: Power saw - this large power saw was under a roof (without
sides), held by wooden posts. Trunks of trees from the
railroad siding were first brought to this saw which had
five or six parallel blades with the distance between each
blade adjustable. Therefore, in one operation a tree could
be cut into five or six lengths. These pieces were then
sent to the kiln (Point 'to. 6).
Point ''o. 6: Kiln - brick building, two stories, about ton meters by ten
meters by six meters high. The first floor contained
nothing but drying tcilns and the second floor contained
showers and bath tubs for the use of employees.
Point "o. 7: Mater storage cistern - circular, about five neters in diameter,
six to seven meters deer. This was of brick and cement
construction, always filled with water to be used by the *ire
department only.
Point "o. 8:
Fire Station - two fire trucks were
stationed in this building.
Point ?o. 9: Location of the Chirchik Freight Station In Tashkent.

a , eac located in a different padt of Tashkent. Area B was the aircraft
assembly plant and Area C made wood components parts for aircraft.
