In early February 1961. six vertical missile-like objects each ap50X1-H U M'y 12 meters highs were observed east of Igel-Pfuhl and west of Hegermu~u~r;r Strasser Strausberg (see the attached map). Only the upper parts of the ob- jects were visible over a plank wall and through underbrush. All six objects had the same diameter and were placed closely together. The top of the ob- jects tapered off into a cone on which was mounted a device similar to a rod- shaped antenna; another rod was mounted on the antenna (see sketch on page 2). On 13 March 1961 it was determined that the objects were made of metal because the sari was shirring on them. 2. The usual signs -- ^No Admittance to Foreign Military Missions' and ?No Photo- graphing" -- were placed north and south of the area on Hegermuehler Strasse. 50X1-HUM ~ 1 1. The six missile-like objects cannot be identified from the information in this report. They could be: a. Missiles; however no missiles haue been observed previously at this place and the description does not correspond to any Soviet types known as of the date of this report. b. PraCti~ce.targets for miss~t~~s? Metal paint might have been used to make them look like metal. c. Objects with unknown purposes. 2.
