SUBJECT : Style,, Format and Application of the Notation for the
Revised Intelligence Subject Code.
le Your concurrence is requested by 9 August 1959 on the style, format,
and application of the notation for the revised edition of the Intelligence Subject
Code.
a. Attachment 1 illustrates the application of the first three ~dtgits
of the notation to the major subject classes in the ISC,
b. Attachment 2 consists of sample pages from Chapter I illustrating
the notation, style, and format that will be used.
2. For your information, the Working Group on Area Classification is
taking final action on their draft code and will submit it to CODIB for approval
so that it can be published with the revised ISC.
