SUBJECT:I Briefing at EXRAIW
1. On 21 October 1970 representatives ofl I briefed
EXRAND concerning their development of "free radical" tye photographic
materials. They briefed on both reproduction and acquisition type
materials. The purpose of this memo is to
statements (which have been corroborated by
concerning the , acquisition speed material development
which I believe are significant enough to justify the attention of the
exploitation community.
2. There were many statements made concerning the performance and
the potential performance of their acquisition speed material. I intend
to record only the summary data, since the significant potential impact
to the exploitation community is clearly implied by them.
a. The performance objectives for the material regarding speed,
sensitivity, storage, image permanence, emulsion adherence, distor-
tion characteristics, etc. are predicted to be developable to suit-
able performance levels for satellite acquisition system requirements.
c. Dates for accomplishing all these levels of performance
in a single F___Iacquisition speed material were predicted
