1- SIGNIFICANCE: THIS IS THE CLOSEST POINT TO
THE CHINA/NORTH VIETNAM BORDER THAT FARMER AIRCRAFT HAVE BEEN STATIONED
AND IS THE FIRST TIME FARMER AIRCRAFT HAVE BEEN OBSERVED AT THIS FIELD.
AIRCRAFT, 36 FRESCO, WERE FIRST
IN EARLY AUGUST 1964,
COMINT REFLECTED THE MOVEMENT OF JET AIRCRAFT FROM PROBABLY MENG-TZU TO
AN AIRFIELD IN THE HANOI, AREA OF NORTH VIETNAM. LUCKY DRAGON 25X1
REVEALED 36 FAGOT/FRESCO AT PHUC YEN AIRFIELD, NORTH VIETNAM.25X1
THESE AIRCRAFT, WHICH APPARENTLY CAME FROM CHINA, WERE THE FIRST JET
FIGHTERS OBSERVED IN NORTH VIETNAM.

35 NM NORTH OF THE CHINA/NORTH
VIETNAM BORDER, APPROXIMATELY 95 NM NORTHEAST OF THE CHINA/LAOS BORDER,
AND APPROXIMATELY 155 NM NORTHEAST OF THE CHINA/BURMA BORDER AT
2324N 10319E.
