THE FIRST SAM SITE IN NORTH VIETNAM (HANOI SAM 25X1
SITE B17-2) WAS OBSERVED ON PHOTOGRAPHY. SAM SITES 2 AND 3 WERE FIRST
OBSERVED IN MAY; SITE 4 IN JUNE; SITES 5, 6, AND 7 IN JULY; SITES 8
THROUGH 18 IN AUGUST; SITES 19 THROUGH 22 IN SEPTEMBER; SITES 23
THROUGH 33 IN OCTOBER; SITES 34 THROUGH 52 IN NOVEMBER; SITES 53 THROUGH
64 IN DECEMBER; SITES 65 THROUGH 93 IN FEBRUARY 1966; AND SITES 94
THROUGH 97 IN MARCH 1966. (SITES 10,18, AND 50 HAVE SINCE BEEN
ABANDONED AND PROBABLY RETURNED TO AGRICULTURE, BRINGING THE TOTAL
NUMBER OF KNOWN SAM SITES IN NORTH VIETNAM TO NINETY-FOUR).
