MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT : Follow-on From DDCI Appearance Before HSCA
1. At the HSCA hearing yesterday the DDCI offered
to have a legal memorandum prepared on a present statute
concerning prosecution of political assassins. Mr. Rininger
of 0GC has this in hand.
2. The DDCI also offered to have further testimony
on the Nosenko issue, if the Committee requests it. As
I heard it, the Chairman thanked the DDCI for the offer,
but did not pick it up. Further initiative appears to
be the Committee's, but the appropriate elements of the
Directorates of Administration and Operations may wish
to give some preliminary consideration to the possibility
of such an appearance if the Agency is asked. -
