SUBJ :ACT: Survey of Technical Surveillance Counter -
measures
25X1A Having reviewed the above subject contained in
- report, and having conferred with a few knowledgeable
individuals, I would appreciate it if you would examine the following
points and report to me on the feasibility of the recommendation.
1. It is my impression that there is a lack of
communication or cooperation between the Office of 25X1A
Security/ Technical Division (TD) and the
DDP.
2. While there recently has been an improvement
in the coordination between the TD and some of the Area
Divisions of the Clandestine Services, there is apparently
no overall point of view on the entire problem.
3. I therefore recommend that consideration be
given to placing countermeasures activities and positive
audio operations within the same Agency component.
