8. TALKING PAPER TO DCI ON "THE ROLE OF THE DCI"
A 13-page talking paper prepared in ICS was provided Mr. Colby on
8 December. No comments have been received from him.PaPer was zatbane
on a rather detailed outline Mr. Colby provided. The options described in the paper were those he listed.
The paper is intended for use at a closed session of the Senate Select
Committee on 11 December.

5. OLC PAPER ON OVERSIGHT
OLC will submit a draft statement oUSC ongressionalg oversight which
has been prepared for possible DCI
The SSC has scheduled a closed session on oversight for 15 December.
Mr. Colby and Dr. Schlesinger are to be witnesses.
