deaths by drovniag reached jai arni ro rtions throughout Poland during
the summer of 1956. the majority of such deaths were
suicides. Members of the ZNp, the association of polish youths, were given
special training in-life-saving techniques and were assigned to patrol the
beaches beaches during, the week ends.
