SUBJECT: Payment of Travel to Terminees in the Foreign Service
1. At my request, the Office of Logistics checked with the
head of the Travel Section in the Foreign Service (Pir. John Mann)
on procedures for paying the travel expenses

of FAM (Vol. 6) indicates that such travel will be paid from the
post only to the designated place of residence in the U. S., its
possessions or Puerto Rico.
2. Mr. Mann confirmed that the Departmentfs policy and practice
is based on Section 125 of the FAM. The FS employee initially
