MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Personnel
SUBJECT : Administrative Authorities
1. We are attaching hereto a copy of a memorandum to the Deputy
Director for Support from the Director of Logistics; subject, President
Johnson's Request for Legislative Proposals, dated 30 November 1967.
2. The contents of this memorandum were discussed with
OLC on 6 December 1967 and it was agreed that the proposals dealing with
protective work clothing and the shipment of household goods to a selected
home upon retirement could possibly be resolved through the adoption of
Administrative Authorities already existing with other agencies. The
Legislative Counsel is well aware of our continuing interest in a parking
bill and will take steps to monitor such proposed legislation as it may be
introduced into the Congress.
