1. lsteres is made to enclosed 9114-F11 letter to Chief, Teohnical Teter?
nation Warmth dated 30 Oeteber 1947, and letter from Chief* Intelligens* Group
to Counderoin?Ohiet* Far last* dated 10 Ootober 1947, sane subject as above.
This effioe has undertaken a thorough search in pertinent Army mei Wavy files
and has found* ae Colonel Ring's letter indicates, subject document was shipped
from Wenila in ?stetter 1945. Apparently this document was received in the
Washington nommen% Center, a joint operation sponsortd by ID, 11166 and OWI,
whose files indicate that this document was later forwarded to Pacific Military
TatellUenee Research Section (under Intelligence Division* War Department) at
Camp Ritokte in January 1946. A complete cheek through the files of the Paeifie
Military Intelligente Research Section fails to show a definite record of- re?
?sip* or destruction of subject document. In the files of the Paolfie Military
Intellisenee Research Section, however* there is record of many MS deoumente
tontained. in the pextieular shipment received at that tine having been destroyed.
It eau the only be reasonably *saluted that subject document was among these.
Complete and accurate files were evidently not kept by the Pacific Wiiitary
Intelligente Research Section as there is no indication of the destruction of
this document or of its being located elsewhere in Washingtce. The date given
for its destruotion in aeocempanying letter is, obviously, a typographical error.

scometlished as follows*
Bach document received is given a number. The document *hen
