 1. The 66th and 67th aeetings of the Subcommittee on the
Exploitation or Foreign Language Publications were held 2 and 16
March, respectively. The review of the Scientific and Technical
and of the UB8II program was eapleted. The Eastern kuropee progrea
will be considered at the next neeticsg, 6 April.
2. Leterewce to the CTb Index prevented 63 cases of dupli-
cation totaling 1923 Pages -
3- Since a new program has been devised for scientific and
technical reporting, the monthly s "Science Revs Item"
and "Supplementary Survrag of Soviet Scientific Abstracts" were
discontinued with the March issues.
4. On 2 March a conference was held with Management 4taff
and Printing 6ervice s Division to discuss the proble s of s.rialiy
microfilming the CTS Index. It was arranged that when the serial-
isation of the Index Is completed late in April, the aicrofilaia
will be carried out as req ested.
5. On proposal of Acquisitions Branch, CIA Library, to
microfila press holdings of La stern Europe Branch to relieve con-
gestion on the shelves, it was agreed that all holdings over two
years old will be so treated.
6. During the month, two responses were filed with special
Assistant to the DD%I for SIIC in compliance with his request for
FDD support.
