SUBJECT: Publication Replacing "Science News items"
1. With FDD Simmary No. 868, dated 23 March 1956; publication of
"Science News Items" as an independent report will be discontinued.
Information covered in "Science News items" will be presented by FDD
as a section of s, net; report titled "Scientific Information Report",
FDD Sum, Semimonthly, Classification: CO iFIDENTIAL.
2. "Scientific Information Report"'bill include scientific-
research information section covering atomic energy, electronics,
and the scientific fields related to guided missiles and A-B-C-warfare.
An outline of the subjects to be covered in this section is attached
to this notice. These will be produced by Scientific and Technical
Branch (BST).
3. Area branchezs will continue to contribute as in the past, to
Science News Items In accordance with the provisions of FDD Notice
6-5 Branches w'l submit items on 8 x 10 (letter size) sheets. 5X1A

Deadline for submission of item., to the coordinator will be 1600 hours
(4:00 4) on the M'ondiays preceding the first and third Wednesdays of
