1. i'ftis office has no major changes to suggest for inclusion
in a revision of Central. Intelligence Agency Regulation Number - 25X1A
2. Examination indicates, however, that the following minor
errors should be corrected in any subsequent rewrite:
Paragraph I-B-l-a
Paragraph I-B-5
Paragraph I-B-S
Includes an internal reference which
is not applicable.
Refers to a subsequent "Section IV"
which does not exist.
The phrase "and operational require-
ments" added at the end would
delineate responsibility more clearly
than the present wording.
Paragraph II-B-1 - The term "Urgent" should be used in
place of "Emergency."

1. It is recommended paragraph 3. A. be clarified, so as
to limit the authority of various offi.cos in sending cables to
overseas stations.
2. At present the Regulation states office heads will
designate officials authorized to release outgoing cables, but
no mention is made as to any limiting factors.
3. It is recommended some such statement be incorporated
that would prevent other officers sending messages to OSO or OPC
stations.
