- to take an intensive course of instruction in the .

25X1 Aga 2, r~~r. ~ a]'seady has considerable knowledge of the
25X1A - language but we desire to make him as proficient in it
as possible before he is iven an overseas assignment, which will
probably be to tirhere he would be in vez?y close 25X1 A6a
and frequent contact with both in connection with 25X1 A6a
debriefing them for intelligence purposes and working with them
operationally.
25X1A 3. In view of the lack of any satisfactory ~,nglish
dictionary or ~ grammar in the English language, it is 25X1A
25X1 Aga essential that l4'r. - be given additional instruction b~ a
qualified tutor, preferably one whose native language is~ 25X1A
~'~e have investigated the possibility of his obtaining such instruction
from the Berlitz School of Languages and have ascertained that their
25X1 A regular course in- consists of 100 hours, ,for which a charge
of X500.00 is made.

in order to become sufficiently proficient in the language to pernLi.t

under which the cost of the desired instruction could be at least
partially defrayed. '
5. In vier of the above it is requested that an amount of
X300.00 be authorized for the payment of - language instruction 25X1A
25X1 Aga for R~`r. ~ during the next three months. It will be appreciated
if authorization to this effect is granted at the earliest practicable
date, ,
