recently arrived at this office, have an incomplete knowledge
of Spanish. Inasmuch as it is necessary for them to deal fre-
quently with persons who speak little or no English and, more
important, since they must constantly study source reports
written in Spanish, it is to the advantage of the organization
that they be permitted to take Spanish lessons hereduring the
next several months.
2, Authorization is, therefore, requested
for the expenditure of a maximum of $15.00 per month for each
of them for Spanish lessons during the last eleven months of
1950.
