MEMORANDUM FOR THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR SPECIAL OPERATIONS
SUBJECT: Authorization for Language Lessons -
25X1A9ai. It is requested that authority be granted to permit Mr.
to take lessons at Government expense 25X1A6a

2. In accordance with a memorandum to all Foreign Division
Chiefs, dated 27 April 1949, it has been determined in this case:
a. That the employee should receive this training
under secure circumstances for reasons of immed-
iate operational necessity,
b. That the cost to the Government will not ex-
ceed $250.00 during any fiscal year,
c. That such language lessons will directly benefit
the Government.
