SUBJECT: Request for Language Instruction for
1. In accordance with memorandum dated 27 April 1949, Subject:
Authorization for Language Lessons, request is hereby made .for approval
25X1A9a to provide now assigned to Station, with 25X1A6a
25X1A6a lessons in the ~ language.
2. It has been determined that for reasons of operational
necessity, and in order to derive the maximum benefits from subject's
services, a fair ability to read, understand, and translate the
language is required.
3, The total cost of the lessons will amount to 25X1A6a
or approximately $65.00.
4. These language lessons will directly benefit the government
in that a great deal of the material handled by the Station25X1A6a
25X1 A6a is in - and requires translation before it is forwarded to
headquarters.
