SUBJECT: Language Instruction,
REE' : Paragraph 10.1 of Confidential Funds Regulations,
dated 1 February 1949
1. Request is made for the authorization of Agency payments
covering - lessons for Mr. who has recently 25X1A9a
assumed the duties of Chief of Station. 25X1 A6a
2. For reasons of operational necessity a certain facility
in the language is considered an important asset to Mr. M
conduct of his duties as Chief of Station, and inasmuch as his
preparatory schedule here in Washington, as arranged by FBW, left
no time available for such lessons before his departure, it is
necessary that he take the lessons at his post. Cost of this
instruction will not exceed $250 per fiscal year.
