An allocation of $90 has been authorized to enroll- in the American University department of languages night school for courses 9 hours per week for a period of 14 weeks. 2. The first semester (7 weeks) of the American University course has been completed and $45 of the original allotment ex- pended. 25X1A9a 25X1A 3. It is requested that the student be allowed to transfer to the Borras Language School, 1711 Connecticut Avenue, N. W., for an intensive 25 hour course in conversational- The cost of 25X1A this instruction at $3.50 per hour will be $87.50. This will ne- cessitate an additional allocation of $+2.50. 4. It was originally believed that the student would have sufficient time to master the language using the conventional approach under standard university teaching methods. However, the imminence of overseas assignment has made it necessary to accomplish a mastery of conversational - within a very short time. cover. 5. It is not contemplated that there should be any cover difficulties.
