Specifically, charged with the conduct and supervision of original research from basic sources undertaken to produce required intelligence. The latter includes the whole range of basic or current information on these areas not avail- able through current collection.o meet this responsibility, I consult directly with EE and SE Divisions to advise on intelli- gence support capabilities, assist in the intelligence planning for operations, and seek solutions to all problems in the intelligence support of these. divisions. I handle for these divisions those requests for research and information which can be satisfied by other government offices or by external contact, or myself conduct and/or supervise research to include analysis.
