1. "Rheinmetall-Borsig had two large plants producing fuses during the
war. They were: (a) Soemmerda, for artillery contact and time fuses,
and (b) Breslaug for bomb fuses. When production at the Breslau plant
stopped in February 1945, attempts were made in Soemmerda to resume
production of the Elektr Bombenzunder 66 (Electrical Bomb Fuse 66),
but it was not possible.
2. "After the Russians had occupied Thuringia (after the Americans. had
left), the Soviets assigned task of compiling the design and
production data for the Bomb Fuse 66. The design then had to be
changed to meet the Soviet demands and the production data corrected
accordingly.
"Shortly after completion of this work, nine
families.were transported to the USSR in October 1946.
group consisted of Glass, Gladitz, Opitz, Koehler, four other gentle-
men, and 0 Two brothers named Wazula, also engineers, came
along from Sachsenwerk-Niodersedlitz near Dresden. A contact; fuse
with an electromagnetic barrel safety had been perfected there toward
the erid of the war, but the Germans were not able to use it in the war.

SECRET/SECURITY INFORMATION
"Alll were taken to a Soviet fuse factory south of Moscow.
.The exact name of the place was unknown;'it is the terminus of the
electric suburban line which runs south from the Kursk railroad sta-
tion in Moscow. It was about 25 km south of the station, and the
name resembles Roschny or Kroschny; it should be rather easy to find
on a detailed map of Moscow and the vicinity..' This fuse factory was
erected during the war, but it was not yet completed
and ostensibly was never really in production. The factory
was planned for an eventual labor force of about two thousand persons.
