The credibility of the information and reliability of the source cannot be determined, 1. Since 5 Jul 53, the Rumanian railroad line Buzias-Gataia baoi been IFwlored to civilian traffic. For army purposes a spur line runs from Gataia to ?Torma < and from Buzias in'the opposite direction to Nitchidorf, 2. On 7 Jul 53 there were observed in Gataia station two large cranes mt nted on rail- road cars and 12 carloads of bridge-building material, including giider:s and stringer--a 3, A Soviet transport command has been established in the fir.:it and wee =d class waiting room in the Gataia station, 4, The Rumanian x'o,Uroad personnel in Gataia has been dismissed and re'pla .'ed by Russians. It is possible that a new airfield is being built in the area Tormac-Nitchidorf. Sov- iet air persorunet. conducted many surveys in this area in the`epring of 1953, and peasantr in the area received the order not to plough up their fields after the harve.:t, 6, At Calnicr Airfield there is now the 1st Battalion of the 7th I',urraniann AA Regiment, with three companies. Formerly, this battalion had only one company, while two other com- panies were attached to the .2nd Battalion at firebul. There was an epidemic in these two compar, s, and later they were attached to the it Battalion. '7. The Brebul companies were reorganized with new men, and the 2nd Battalion is now at that place. The 3rd Battalion is at Bocsa-Montana, 8, Each company in the 7th AA Regiment is equipped with four 45 mm g?u.rrr, and each battalion has four machine guns on twin mounts.
