1. Further efforts t,;, prepare for a Bashemite union between Iraq and Jordan are in
progress.? Nuri Said has forwarded concrete proposals for military and financial
support feL:am Iraq -and the-refusal of help from any third party. These proposals
lay a basis "or the old proposal of a union. King,Feisal of-Iraq would be the
head of this federation, ,which would have two -vice-its.
2. The Jordan Premier Flaw i Bdulici approves of Nuri Saida s- plan.
3. The absence of the royal family offers favorable conditions for the realisation
of such a plan.
Ex-king Talal has gone from EVmt to Turkey to'-,he Sita nerve 'Iclinio . The trip
was financed through a London bank. Prince Naif arranged it. He is in contact
with the Moslem Brotherhood, and has frequen een in Beirut recently.
