Since 2 Oct 53 negotiations have been going on in East Berlin between the
Seepolizei headquarters and the Soviet authority for the transfer of two
E-boats (Schnellboote) now in Soviet possession to the Zinnowitz flotilla
The transfer is to take place on 1 Nov 53. Until recently the Seepolizei
have had at their disposal only vessels built as part of the so-called
drifter and seiner program. Now they also have two submarines., one of
which was built in the Soviet Zone. The boats are used for training
purposes.
