1. East of Eski D umaja (Turgovighte), near the road to Javasevo is a Bulgarian
summer military. camp. The area is 1,000 by 2,000 m. There are wooden barracks
for the officers and the permanent camp personnel, and numerous tents. The
area is closed to civilians.
2. It is occupied by three artillery sections, of uncertain origin. It has been
reported that they belong to the same division as the Eski Dfumaja.infantry
regiment. All summer long they held joint exercises with tb.e infantry, including
night alarms and night marches.
3. It is also occupied by the Eski Dffumaja infantry regiment, which has the APO No.
12+7. The regular stations of the battalions are: 1st Battalion, Eski D umaja,
2nd Battalion, Osman Pazar Omortag, 3rd Battalion Preslav. The regiment,is not
completely equipped, being short on weapons and cars. The heavy AA company lacks
its weapons. During the summer numerous reservists were attached,to the regiment
for refresher training.
