1. Professor Gregory ralmijov has turned in a report according to which thorium and.
uranium deposits exist in the vicinity of Turkul9 Uzbekistan. Professor '?/a.lmi jov
reported in September 1953.
2. He is a member of the oviet Council for Mineral Exploration. He has had a group
of specialists working in the general vicinity of Turkul for a long time.
3. Professor Talmijov is now awaiting instructions to carry this work further. 1're-
sumably, this means the opening of the mines,
