With the idea of averting a splitting-'up and radicalization of party organizations the government is soundi , ng out among the people how far a 0Kemalist Peoples Partys would meet with support. The basic idea'is a aollentl'pe`unity party including the Democrats and Republi :ins, to prevent the splitting up of both parties, and stressing the Kemallst ~,onoept of the state. The stimulus to this survey of opinion proceeds from the Reputl an Party after its, annual congress in Bayrakli had given signs that splintering influences were at work in the party which could benefit only the radi,.-al side. These separatist tendencies are especially active among the younger party members.
