Under the direction of Chief Engineer Cholet, the arsenals at Bourges, the
maritime prefect's of Brest and Lorient, naval artillery officers have been
carrying out constant experiments with guided missiles from the artillery
range at Plouharnel (Morbihan). The missiles are fired from Plouharnel and
their point of impact is in the dunes on the coast of La Vendee, north of
the Cables dt0lonne.
2. The line of f.re extends for 150 kilometers. it passes over the Quiberon
Peninsula and the Islands of Houat and Hoedic and somewhat to the northeast
of the Ile dlYeu,
turther experiments have now had to be postponed because of protests by
th4 orarUal population of Morbihan. 'The national defense authorities hope
to overcame this opposition, though they will reserve the right to suspend
fire during the summer.
