The Radeberg and Niedersedlitz radio works are making ready for serial manufacture of a so-called people's long distance receiver. It has the same wiring scheme as the previously manufactured "Leningrad T-2," but heretofore has been built with a. 9-inch tube. It will now have a 12-inch tube and a plain case. It will cost about 900 TAM. The actual price is not decided. The "Leningrad T-2" currently costs 1,400 DM. The HF works in Berlin-Oberschoneweide will deliver the 12-inch tubes. Serial production of these picture tubes, however, can only begin about the end of Jan 1954. 2. The order for the Funkwerk X penick, for two hundred 100-watt senders, has been finished. The long-wave sender ordered by the Soviet Union has been delivered on schedule. Five automatic emergency sender-receivers have been completed for Poland, but not yet shipped. Twelve Stuttgart apparatus (telecomputers) with radio-telegraph accessories were manufactured for Poland in Nov. Four sets were manufactured for the Volkspolizei.. 3. Production in Nov 1953 also included twenty-seven 20-watt and thirteen 100-watt senders. It is not known where this equipment was delivered, but the Soviet Union probably got the 100-watt apparatus. The 20-watt senders are intended for the Volkspolizei. 4. The first ultra-short wave telephone sets were also delivered in Nov to two plants in the Soviet Zone: Polysius, at Dessau, and Krupp Gruson, at Magdeburg. Eighteen of these sets have been destined for the Soviet Union. Four echo- graphs were delivered to the Soviet Union. 6. The Hescho works at Hermsdorf (Thuringia) and Gorier of Meuselwitz have completely stopped deliveries of coils and ceramic parts. They lack copper wire. 7/744.765 4M/C(N) 744.713 4M/C 7/744.765 N(JM) - end - 2/744, 713 4M/C 7/744.21 4M/C(N) 7/T44 T14 N(JM) 7/144.21 N(JM) U.S. Officials Only 7/7.714 4M/C(N) 7 .714 4M/C OISTR16UTION ?
