1. Courses in Marxism-Leninism for all members of the higher teaching bodies are
now being given to all faculty members of all universities in the Rumanian
PeopleSs Republic, These courses are held once a week and last four hours. The
courses proper are then followed by complete expositions, which are in turn
followed by discussions of these expositions. The listeners take part in the
discussions. The courses begin at 4 p.m. and sometimes last until 10 p.m.
2. Attendance and active participation in these courses are obligatory. There will
be an examination in the s er of 1954. Members of the teaching profession know
well enough that, if they do not pass this examination, they will not be holding
their position the next acbool year,
