1. The "new artillery barracks" at 1Coeice is at the eastern edge of the oity on the bank
of the Hrnad River, at the.diwision of the roans going t Miohalovice aad
Presov. ,This barracks, known during Hungarian Oaeupation as tine Hussar
barracks, was destroyed during world War II. but has been rebuilt. Tt n^?ai~ts

motorised batteries. 8aoh battery consists of 125 to 135 men. The~,,wear
black shoulder boards with a red border. Sach battery consists of two gun
platoons, divided into hail~piatoons. B~aeh battery has three 76.2 mm ~1T guns,
but not enough guns being available, the organization was still incos~plete at
the end of 1953. The 2nd Section is sinilarly organized, each battery having
three lZ2 s~harl4Ntls. The 3rd Section has the sa>re organization, but each
battery has three 82 sw mortars.
4. Individual equipment of the artillerists is rifles and machine pistols, model
1948, produced by 3koda~on Soviet design.
