1. Since the spring of 1953 there has been a large training camp and target
range southeast of Tambol, used mainly by motorized troops. The camp is
on both sides of the Yaabol-Iitiris road, and covers an area a,400 by
3,100 a. The asap contains a nva>b?r of staff buildings, a repair shop for
tanks, aagpzinil, eta.
2. Some buildings were seised for its use in Yambol city, including a school
building used by the reinforsement forrtions. Private houses were seized
for use as hospitals. another school was taken over in the center of the
city from Jun to net 1953 for the ooarad of a Bulgarian motorized division.
3. During the summer sad fall there were at the esapt the staff of a motorized
rifle division whisk arrived in am 1953; a motorised rifle regiment from
Plovdiv; a motorised rifle regiment from Sofia; an armored reconnaissance
battalion from Sofia; an armored regiment from Sofia; a motorized artillery
regiment; an ALA regiment from Plovdiv; a som^misations battalion from
Plovdiv.
4. Further construction is in progress at the c>oaap.
