Under his are political'officerst Capt. Vojtek, Capt. itudu, First'Lt."Hollos and First Lt. Nagy. The section also has a political instructor, a Din",(1btngerian'Military Organisation) - secretary, a party secretary, a.culture officer and several agitators. 6. The defense service consists of a regimental defense officer, with three other officers under hin and a special defense officer for the regimental troops. The regimental surgeon is Dr. Yuman. 7. The let Battalion is an armored battalion of two companies. The let Company has 115 min and 15 T-34/76.2 tanks; the 2nd Company has 12 T-34/76.2 tanks and 110 men. 8. The 2nd Battalion is commanded by 0apt. Danes. It has two rifle companies; a isrtar. coaapany, of. two platoons ' er .hr squads .'each, each squad having an 82 mm mortar; a machine gum coapan of three platoons,'esoh of three squads, each squad having a ]facia machine gun. Directly under battalion are an AT platoon of'two squads, eaeh.sgiad having a 76.2 am AT gun; and a machine pistol reconnaissance platoon of three squads, 36 ms all told. The 3rd Battalion is organised like the tad. 9, The arna~~ent is the best and most modern that can be obtained in Hungary. The regiment is fully motorised. 'Ths AL machine gun company ceasists of three platoons, each platoon with three squads.,. and each squad having an AL machine gun; it. has 116 men. The mortar ceapa ,has three platoons, each platoon having two 120 me mortars; it has 70 men. The engineer company has 44 men, but- is equipped With'hand?tools only. The oonsanications platoon has 42 men, a radio platoon, a telephone platoon, and a telephone central. The medical detachment consists of one surgeon and 16 men. 12. The'regiment was organized at the end of 1950, two infantry battalions being provided from Pitorvasa and Ritsag and a staff brought to Aszod from Pilisosaba. The uniforms are new, and-each soldier gets two-sets. In the beginning the weapons were old Soviet . ones from World War ,II, but these have been replaced.
