1. On 15 May 54 the Czechoslovak Oovernaent accepted a proposal of Dr. Jroair Dolanskf,
in charge of economic coordination, to recommend to the appropriate Soviet authorities
three steps on an urgent basis.
2. These proposals ares
a. That the sending of a Soviet technical mission from Magnitogorsk to the
Moravsk[ Ostrava iron and steel district be indefinitely postponed;
b. that the introduction of Pilippov and Prilov methods in Czechoslovak blast
furnaces be abandoned;
c. that the recruiting of Polish labor for the Y.I. Molotov iron works at Tisinec
be cancelled.
3. These recommendations were immediately delivered to Soviet Ambassador I.l. Piryubia.
They are based on the strong protests of Czechoslovak workers against the
Introduction of Soviet methods in Czechoslovak industry, and the constant surveillance
of Czechoslovak factories by Soviet delegations.
4. A Soviet security mission is now investigating serious disturbances which tool 5X1
