1. A former old cloister in the town of Oaek has been commandeered and renovated
by the army. A rifle regiment is now stationed here. The regiment was organised
in October 1952 and consists of a regimental staff, directly subordinate special
units, and two rifle battalions.
2. Informant states that Czech citizens of German nationality are being taken into
the army and labor units. The only requirement is that their citizenship papers
are found in order by an examining commission.
3. lbe organization of the army is net taught in Czechoslovakian Army units. This
knowledge is only discussed in officers' schools.
