1. Typewritten leaflets have been clandestinely distributed in the important
Manufacturing town of aabrove. They consist entirely of attacks on the
regime. They are secretly distributed, not only at Gabrovo but also in
the neigh)oring villages.
2. The police have proceeded promptly to repressive measures. They gathered
up the leaflets and on 8 May 54 arrested the following individuals:
Vasil eve!, schoolmaster
Pavl1 TAkUn
Marv etehinevs (a woman)
Yefrea ye
3. All these people were sent to Tdraovo. The charge against then was
distributing reactitnary papers, hostile, to the regime.
4. There were also three arrests at Plovdiv. One of the adividual.s arrested was
h certain Dikran ? According to his Own story, he belongs to a
fereigh pr4pagsnds. service.

Nationalists 125X1 the Larlovo region have also been arrested lately, on
charges of holding secret meetings. Documents, discovered by the Cenawnist
authorities, show that the accused persons were arranging for sabotage of
the delivery of agricultural products to the state. The following were
arrested, chile actually attending a secret meeting for this purpose:

The prisoners were denounced by Tiaofi DroJev, although his name appears on the
list of those arrested--a coaaon maneuver. Drojev was a brother-in-law of the
president of the Cosstiunist Youth Organization d the region. In addition,
relatives of the individuals listed above have been arrested, and other arrests
are to follow.
