APPRAISAL OF CONTENT IS TENTATIVE. a plan, drawn up by a committee of representatives of the East German broa(:. cast reCeiver manufacturing enterprises which met at the Funkwerk Dresden 10-13 March 1958, to establish standards for the five types of broadcast receivers to be manufactured in East Germany. The types include a top quality model (manufacturing cost about 460 DIE), two medium grades (350 and 260 DME), a small model (190 DME) and a utility model (140 DME). The plan, as drawn up by the committee, describes in detail the function of each model. Further, specific recommendations on the standardization of comppnents are included; the use of printed circuits and germanium diodes is discussed. Detailed specifications of components are given.
