MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Central Intelligence
FROM: Legislative Counsel
SUBJECT: Briefing of Senator Nunn on North Korean
Order of Battle
1. We have an appointment scheduled to brief Senator Nunn on
the North Korean Order of Battle on Wednesday, January 3rd, 1979
at 9.a.m. on Capitol Hill. Jim Locher, his SASC staff man ,,. is,
seeking an Armed Services Committee room for the briefing. I have
also asked Mr. Locher to invite Senators Glenn and Hart to the
briefing per your and Secretary Vance's request.(S)
2. There is now a fourth Senator on the trip. Senator Baker
has obtained permission for Senator-elect Cohen of Maine to go as
the representative of the minority. He will be going to Korea. I
do not know his past position on this issue but Mr. Locher has
asked that Mr. Cohen be briefed along with Senator Nunn on this
subject. My recommendation is that he be included because he has
been designated the representative of the minority. (C)
