SUBJECT : Presidential Briefings
1. The slippage of the Africa NSC Meeting to at least Friday,
6 October, and probably even later means that my earlier proposal for
topics for a 3 October briefing should be scrapped. I recommend you
plan to cover:
--Panamanian n Foreign Policy. briefing is attached. 25X
--Soviet/Cuban Options in Rhodesia. The briefing package is
25X1 A - This is good for
YOU want to arop r. Perry's participation.
If you want him to participate we should slip this to
17 October.
2. Of course any of the other topics I had proposed for use on
3 October can be made ready. However, I have attached a copy of my
latest topic preparation status report so you can see how I propose to
handle them.
3. Finally I am also attaching a list of "odds and ends" that I
have been holdin for your use. If you choose to slip the
25X1A topic, you will have plenty to cover.
