1. Attached are packages on the following subjects:
A. The Soviet View of the Sino-Soviet-US Triangle
B. Bonn Economic Summit
C. Soviet Air Defense
D. Pakistan

2. Package A contains the brief from I , focusing on the 25X1A
Soviet View of the Sino-Soviet-US triangle. I have prepared talking
points from it. Even though the DCI/NIO meeting on this topic was
canceled and is not currently rescheduled I am proceeding as if you
still would like to brief this topic on 11 July. Background material
supplementing this brief was previously sent to you.
3. The Bonn Economic Summit is primarily background material. Mr.
as indicated that there may not be anything unique or new
to contribute to the President on this subject for the 11 July briefing.
4. Also attached is a package on the "Soviet Air Defense" scheduled
for 18 July. It includes a folder on "ECCM" which you have seen before
and is included in this same package as an alternate approach in briefing
the Soviet Air Defense topic (see cover memo on Soviet Air Defense
folder).
5. The Pakistan package includes your notes on the 27 June briefing
and a response by , ANIO/NESA to your questions.
6. The FRG-USSR Relations is also scheduled for 11 July. We are
in the process of answering your questions and sharpening the briefing.
We plan on submitting it tomorrow, 6 July.
