The following topics have been proposed as possible future topics for Presidential Briefings. These topics have not yet been approved by D/NFAC. After D/NFAC approval of the topic, the responsible officer will be asked to provide an outline for the DCI's approval. Preparation of the draft briefing will start after the outline is approved. A. President's Quarterly Report B. The North Asian Military Balance C. The French Elections: Why and Where to Next D. The Spanish Communist Party Congress E. Preparations for Force Reductions in Korea 5. The following topics have been deleted from the list of working topics for the reasons indicated: A. Southeast Asia Perspective: To be renominated if DCI/NIO meeting develops themes which merit development into a briefing. B. Nuclear Energy Problems and Alternatives in the LDCs: Renominate when the paper on which the briefing is based is ready for publication. C. Potential Leaders of an Independent Palestine: Too many higher priority briefings for the period during which this topic would be timely to merit continued work on briefing. Handle via written report if appropriate. D.
