SUBJECT : Briefing for President-elect Reagan's
Foreign Policy Assessment Board
1. The Director will be briefing subject Board next week on the
geopolitical strategic balance. The Director's briefing will be pre-
pared based on a variety of talking points on individual subjects. Some
of these are already underway as part of the Director's briefing of
President-elect Reagan himself. There are some subjects, however, in
your respective areas, for which nothing has as yet been done.

ing:

s Situation in Africa (NIO/AF)
a Chinese Economy and Leadership Situation (Acting NIO/EA)
In preparing these papers you may have need of soliciting inputs from
cognizant production offices; nevertheless, what Dick would like is to
have those inputs woven into a coherent briefing on each subject.
