Dear George:
A short time ago I received your telephonic approval for overtime
work essential to the completion of development of System No. 2 on
schedule. We should now like. to obtain your written authorization for
the overtime program.
All engineers, technicians, designers, draftsmen, technical writers,
and shop personnel required to insure completion of the System No, 2
development program will be worked on a 48-hour per week schedule
during the period extending from 7 November 1955 through the end of
February 1956. Overtime labor charges for all exempt personnel will
appear as a dir, ect contract charge; the premium portion of th.e time
and one-half overtime labor charges for nonexempt personnel will appear
as an overhead. charge. We request your approval of both of these charges.
The premium overtime payments have been estimated on the following
basis:
