1. PURPOSE:
To design, fabricate and install a i~ollow satellite
and CORONA Prime
improved 196]. CORONA payload
programs.
2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK OR SERVICES REQUIRED:
The 1961 CORONA program covers modification:; of the CORONA Prime camera and
film transport towards greater payload reliability in 6 firings to be
scheduled during Calendar Year 1961. This work will be performed by Lock-
heed with ITEK and General Electric as subcontractors. The fabrication of
the camera will be subcontracted by ITEK to Fairchild which will construct
the camera and related accessories under IT&K's design. General Electric
will manufacture the nose cone. Eastman will supply and process the film.

5. DELIVERY SCHEDULE OR PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:
Work will start immediately and will be scheduled for completion during the
summer of 1961.
6. REMARKS:
Approval is requested to obligate funds to cover firm costs in accordance
with paragraph 4 to the extent such funds are made available to the Agency
