SUBJECT s Authorization to Purchase Crystal Holders for Test
Purposes and Possible Use of :Same With System VI

1. has advised of a now crystal holder which
has shown exceptional promise. It is manufactured try the American
Electronics Laboratories and assts approximately $75.00 per unit.
One borrowed unit from the Naval Research Laboratory has undergone
Agency tests, but must now be returned. The Contractor can make
several units available to within the next week or so. It
is intended that one unit be re a for test at Headquarters and
one sent to the Ramo.Mooldridge Corporation for additional testing.
If it were later decided to use these crystal holders in System VI,
further purchases would be made by the Contractor under Contract

2, It is recommended that be advanced funds in the 25X1 A
approximate amount of IV150.O0 from patty cash to make this purchase
and the accounting therefor to be the subject of discussion between
you and
